We have had the chance to feature so many of my favorite new artists on Grey's Anatomy lately that I thought I'd focus on a few&. The Chalets may be one my 2006 car stereo favorites. They hail from Dublin, Ireland, have names like Peepee, Pony, Chris and Edna and as their bio reads "This is pop - reckless, libidinous and impertinent. It all began in a clamour of booze and hormones." What's not to like? Also on my iPod is UK's boy least likely to. I'm sure we will be hearing a lot more of them after the band plays SXSW in Austin, TX next month. "Be Gentle With Me", featured in a recent episode of Grey's is on of the most delicious pop ditties I have heard all year. The duo grew up together in a small English village and cite influences including Lee Hazelwood, John Hughes flicks, Aztec Camera and Anne Sexton. They have 3162 Myspace friends so far. Champaign, Illinois' Headlights are also appearing at SXSW and are at the forefront of the resurgent scene happening in the twin cities of Champaign-Urbana. By merging electronics with the barest of pop elements, Headlights carve a unique niche for themselves that falls nicely between My Bloody Valentine and The Postal Service and are signed to one of my favorite labels, Polyvinyl Record Co. We licensed "Everyone Needs A Fence To Lean On" for the show. Also on my playlist is future superstar Corinne Bailey Rae. Her EMI release has just dropped and"Like A Star" (which we synched) like the rest of her album is simply sublime. Born in Leeds, the 26 year old got her start singing in Church. It's rumored she will be performing at a very small Los Angeles venue - Can't Wait!!!

Currently listening to: Josh Radin, i monster, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pioneers, Bitter Sweet, Devics and Jamie Liddell
