SHADES OF GREY...............................................................................
First off, I will start by saying that this was a wonderful episode. I think
while the ending montage was absoluetly beautiful and fantastic and I loved
it, I was hoping for more of a cliffhanger than they left us with (Meredith
snoring again...not really a cliffhanger), so that disappointed me, as did not
seeing the words "Grey's Anatomy" fade in. Rather, we did see
"To Be Continued," but I still love seeing the title.
I thought this was a wonderful new way to do the show, taking place over
several days instead of just one shift and revealing things we didn't know
about the characters. The whole thing with Callie staring McDreamy &
George down was hilarious (I LOVED
Callie in this episode), and I loved it when George kissed her. The whole
Meredith snoring thing is funny, but I'm really hoping the storyline wraps up
the next episode (which I'm sure it will) because it has the possibility of
becoming annoying. And the Addex kiss was working up to be very hot. Loved it.
Can't wait to see how that plays out
next week. And I seriously hate ABC's promo department at the moment for
completely ruining the entire Addison/Mark storyline that obviously wasn't
meant to be revealed. And it's quite obvious that Izzie will use a
"small" chunk of her change to pay for the 17-year-old's surgery.
How has she not learn her lesson? Or, is that really all that bad? Or, does
Izzie do more than that and we have
to wait til next Thursday to see what? And I'm really interested in seeing how
Meredith & Thatcher's storyline plays out (i.e. what Thatcher's story is),
but I'm really hoping that Meredith dismisses Thatcher like she did with Susan
Grey in 310 "Don't Stand So Close to Me" as Thatcher is obviously
not a great father and Meredith doesn't know him (plus, I dislike the
character). Izzie's meltdown at the bank, while wonderful acting, seemed
really out of the blue to me like they cut something out before or after it.
But whatever. I guess it still makes sense. And is George's dad going to die?
I sure hope not. But it's looking that way from the original promo for the
two-parter shown a couple of weeks ago and the promo shown tonight.
All in all, this was a great episode and I'm really intrigued in seeing how
each of the storylines play out.
Way to go Grey's Anatomy for yet
again another WONDERFUL episode!
SEATTLE RAIN™........................................................,,,........................................
So as always Shonda has brought us yet another amazing and hilarious episode of Grey's Anatomy, and after five weeks of re-runs she sure knew how to begin the new year. First off let me say that Meredith and Derek are the most freaking adorable couple in the history of TV, the tickling, the snoring, the staring, freaking adorable :] Oh and Georgie, oops I mean George, his name is George, has gone through so much these past few weeks with his dad and then the whole Callie and Mark scandal, but I am proud of my lost puppy George, he wasn't so rude and all yell-y, is that even a word?, this week. He was kind and he laughed, yes Georgie laughed, and danced and examined pee. And we can't forget that kiss with former fling Callie, do I smell engagement? Nope it's just Mr. O'Malley's urine :D Which reminds me of Cristina and Burke. The silent treatment was their deadly weapon of choice last night, those two seem to be getting more immature by the moment. They are both so intelligent and have so much potential and they are giving each other the silent treatment, playing "uncle" as Burke explained to Addison. Can we say fourth grade? Seriously Burke be a man and tell the woman you love that your arm is fine...or not. It's not such a difficult task and it's not like she is suddenly going to become the dominating person in the relationship. So just freakin' tell her for the sake of all that is mature. Mature--Meredith. The way she handled the whole father issue was so human and relatable. Ellen Pompeo amazing job. She didn't even need to say anything, just that expression she had on her face when she saw Thatcher spoke volumes. Volumes people. And Cristina came to the rescue being her person and taking over, yet part of me tells me that she only did that so Mer would ask Burke about the arm, and apparantly Meredith wasn't the only target. We saw Olivia, the nurse that gave George the syph, Addison, George, and Derek, who was looking hott as ever, so off topic but it needed to be said. Oh and what was up with Mark? He was so upset and down, which could be blamed on the fact that Addison has called it quits with that episode of her life. Poor Mark, he loved/loves (I'm still not sure about that one) her and he came all the way down from New York and then he has some sex and finally it's over. As soon as Maddison begun it ended. Now Addison seems to have the hotts for the one and only Alex Karev. Following in the footsteps of her ex-husband Addison is falling for an intern, but let me just say that she better keep far away from him, because Alex is all Izzie's it's been that way since a long time and it should stay that way too. Izzie. Where to begin? Oh poor Izzie, first she gets the bitchy patient who deep down, very deep down, has a heart, and then she had to get rid of the last reminder of Denny, which was good. She needs to move forward. Move on, find new love and be happy. I was so sad of seeing Izz so bleh, which brings me back to George and how he was so more "George-like" this week. And that moment with Meredith, freaking adorable, not as adorable as the fact that Derek sets his alarm every morning and gets back in bed with Meredith before she wakes up, but adorable none the less. AH! Seriously I am never going to get over all the MerDer joy in this episode. Just thinking about it makes me smile. I want a mcdreamy like that, once again off topic, but once again it needed to be said ;D And do I hear trouble brewing for the chief and Bailey concerning George's dog running-over dad? Loud and clear my friends, and it is definately going to cause some drama next week. "You knew better!" remember that? So after five long awaited weeks, Shonda has definately brought it, making us think and wonder so much, keeping us on the edge of our seats every step of the way and it can only go up from here :]
