Um...Wow? Can that word even describe this episode? I mean, seriously.
SERIOUSLY.
I have to get up at 3:30 tomorrow (which is 5 hours from now), and I stayed
up to watch that. And, Oh my God, am I glad I did. I may regret it in the
morning, but, man, right now, I'm so happy I did.
This episode was so...different, but yet so Grey's Anatomy. It was
defintiley a departure from the "Grey's Anatomy events" we are
used to, and it is a welcome one indeed. I loved every moment of tonight's
episode. It was so...intense, I think is the word. And it was amazing to get
to see some things we've never seen before! For instance, Bailey's home, and
her husband is back! (Although, I'm seriously terrified about where her
storyline is going.)
OK, I'll admit it. Rose is growing on me. It
makes me want to kill myself for saying that,
but she is. There are fans who are threatening to stop watching Grey's if
Derek hooks up with her, and here I am, liking her. What is wrong with me?
Sure, I do want Meredith and Derek together. Really freaking bad. But, I
think a Rose/Derek relationship could be a good thing for them in the long
run. You know, that is if they actually wind up together (and, boy, they
better...)
The racist storyline is utterly amazing. It's refreshing to see this kind of
storyline on TV and then see the characters react in the way Bailey and
Cristina acted tonight. It's so different, and so empowering.
I love where the Alex/Lexie/Ava thing is going. I don't where exactly
"going" is, but I can't wait to see it.
But George and Izzie...what's happening with them? I'm hoping something
happens with them in part two, because, seriously, we need a little bit of
happening because of what happened last week.
And, then there's the ending. That was...horrific. Like, Hostel
(which I just watched this weekend) horrific. Like, crazy, I didn't think
you'd show that horrific. But it was the perfect ending. Seriously.
Besides those three terrible words "to be continued." Ugh.
But, really, though, tonight's episode was seriously amazing and I am on the
edge of my seat for next week (speaking of which, whoever did the score
should get a pat on the back...it was terrific, so different from what we
usually hear and it TOTALLY fit in an amazing way). Wait, it's not next
week. Dammit. That totally sucks that we have to wait two weeks.
Seriously, though, amazing job on tonight's episode. Really, truly, amazing.
