Wow. So, that was completely different than I expected. And
so many shades of awesome. I actually had to re-watch the first half of the
episode within an hour, because someone else in my home wanted to start
watching it too. And, even though I had just seen it, it was still just as
enthralling. In fact, I found that I was liking it more.
I love the new direction the show seems to be heading in. I love how Lexie
and George are living together. And Lexie's storyline tonight? Hilarious.
And awesome. The surgical contest was a brilliant idea, which was
brilliantly executed. And the Rose/Derek/Meredith thing? Handled in a completely
different way than I was expecting...but it was done so great. It wasn't
overwhelming or anything. And I love that Meredith is seeing a
therapist. And that all of the characters are doing different things and
heading in different directions. You can definitley tell that Shonda is
trying to head back to the direction of seasons one and two.
I am so excited for next week's episode. To be honest, I've been more
excited for "Piece of My Heart" than I was for tonight (which is
saying a lot, because I walked around all day today with a smile on my face
and extremely hyper waiting for tonight). I love Addison/Kate Walsh
and CANNOT wait to see what the writers have her doing as she returns to see
how all of her old coworkers' lives have completely changed. And I'm totally
hoping Addison plays a huge part in getting MerDer back together, because,
to me, it seems like it would make the story come full circle and
everything. And Ava's pregnant?! That's a great twist there, because I
hadn't even heard a thing about a pregnancy!
I've never been more excited than I am now for Grey's Anatomy. It's
just so damn good. Happiness really is a Grey's Thursday...and I simply
cannot wait for more.
