I knew this episode was going to rock the Grey's world, and it SO did.
This was the single best episode of Grey's Anatomy I have seen in a
REALLY, REALLY long time. Ok, well, that's excluding season 4.2, but,
still. Seriously. This episode was just...so...so...Grey's Anatomy!
The balance of the episode was completely spot-on. All of the
characters were involved, got equal screen time, and progress was made.
The hour actually flew by for the first time since probably season
three.
I had all these things I was going to write about explaining what made
the episode so good, but it was so good that I can't even remember what
those things were. The reaction on the boards is insane. People LOVED
this episode - it's literally the best reaction I think I've seen since
I started my website in late May 2006. The only complaint I'm seeing
(besides the obvious biased couple shippers wanting their couples to
take up all the screen time) is that people wanted more humor. But,
from the looks of things, next week is going to bring that. What does
this mean? Everything's going to be back. Everything. Shonda really did
raise the bar. She's totally on top of her game with her shows this
year, and it's freaking amazing.
Seriously, Seriously, Seriously. I cannot say it enough. This episode
was fan-freaking-tastic.
GREAT job tonight!
